The Walking Dead ep. 3

Just watched episode three of The Walking Dead. It's a show that comes on at 900 pm on Sunday's. (SPOILERS AHEAD) The story revolves around a cop named Rick that winds up in a coma after being shot. After waking up he finds that the world has had an outbreak of a crazy zombie virus. He sets out on a mission to find his family.

In episode three, Rick and the rag tag group of people he met, have just escaped from the city after leaving behind one of their unruly fellow survivor chained on the roof of a building. Rick reunites with his family and best friend and tells the brother of the guy they left behind, that they left him behind. Rick and a few others decide to go back for the guy and retrieve a bag of guns he dropped only to find that the guy chopped of his own hand and is now missing.

Next episode will be very interesting. Will Rick find out that his wife has been shacking up with his best friend? Will they find the missing survivor? What problems will they have looking for the guns?

Don't know if I'm allowed to write about movies. Anyway, here's my writing assignment that's due by 8:00PM Sunday 11/7/2010.

I recently watched a documentary called Bigger Faster Stronger. The film, made by Christopher Bell, was about the use of anabolic steroids by himself, his brothers, and American society. Featured in the film is commentary by congressmen, celebrities, athletes, and medical professionals. While on first glance the film may seem about the use of steroids, it has a far deeper meaning.

Some themes expressed in the film is how Americans will do anything for success and our lack of moral integrity. Our lack of moral integrity is shown in the film by how we view cheating in today's society. The narrator shows this through how we demonize the use of steroids in sports, yet find it okay that we them use cortisol shots or for musicians to use beta blockers or cyclists to sleep in altitude chambers. The way Americans will do anything for success is also show in the film. The film shows how many people like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and many other celebrities were successful because of steroids.
